Tumblr Posts About Edgy Atheists

11/17/2023

Sometimes, I get so mad in interactions with edgy atheists that any orientation of charity gets tossed out the window. I establish boundaries, but in a nasty, condescending, and dismissive way. Some atheists pass judgments on my character due to this and they may think that this is the true nature of Catholics in general. But as the screenshots I am about to show you prove, even non-believers, both atheists and agnostics, get fed up with the behavior of edgy atheists. Though I try and sometimes fail to express myself and set my boundaries more charitably than the OPs of these posts do, it is heartening to know that some non-religious people feel the exact same thing I do when dealing with edgy atheists.

So the next time you edgy atheists feel inclined to tell me God isn't real, I'm in a cult, the Bible is Bronze or Iron Age mythology, or that I'm insulated, immutable, indoctrinated, dismissive, and condescending, look at these Tumblr posts and face the reality that are plenty of non-religious people who feel the same way I do and say so, albeit in a much less charitable way than I usually do. The next time you take issue with the fact that I'm immutable and insulated, look at these posts and ask yourself why I'm like that. And before you accuse me of feigning outrage and indignation, again, take a look at these screenshots and consider that I most likely am genuinely upset.

And maybe stop passing judgments on my character and painting Catholics with a broad brush and start giving me the benefit of the doubt.

Comments Hey, let's chat and have some good discussions! In order to have good conversations, there needs to be some rules. 1) Be polite, charitable, and civil 2) Long comments are most welcome! 3) Please one comment at a time. I do better with one-on-one conversations. Positive comments make my day! I read all the comments and will do my best to respond to them. May God bless you and keep you! And if you're not religious, I wish you all the best!
