Reading People: A Difficult Struggle of Autism

11/27/2023

I sometimes struggle to read people, especially in chats, comboxes, and forums. This can be harmful as I am prone to deem someone credible when they're not. I am prone to believe claims on made by experts in a certain field, only to find that they shouldn't be revealing certain info (i.e. a Catholic exorcist blogging about their battles against the forces of darkness), or credible complaints have been filed against them (i.e. a mental health professional). Or they're spouting conspiracy theories that have been debunked. Or they're a hypocrite or uncharitable or both. Thankfully, those who live in their own reality (COVID skeptic/denier, anti-vaxxer, etc.) are easy to spot.

Comments Hey, let's chat and have some good discussions! In order to have good conversations, there needs to be some rules. 1) Be polite, charitable, and civil 2) Long comments are most welcome! 3) Please one comment at a time. I do better with one-on-one conversations. Positive comments make my day! I read all the comments and will do my best to respond to them. May God bless you and keep you! And if you're not religious, I wish you all the best!
