More Than Entertained
Even Pop Culture Catechism didn't hold my interest for as long as I thought it would. The website More Than Entertained is dedicated to encountering the divine in the entertainment. It's a small group of young adult Catholics and they do reflections on movies, books, TV shows, music, and sports. I like this because it's all about finding the sacred elements and it's the poster describing their encounter with the divine rather than a group discussion about holy elements.
As a person who has OCD tendencies and is therefore allergic to doubt (plus looking out for potential spiritual threats is exhausting to the extent that a scrupulous person does so), this is exactly what I need.
I love encountering the divine through contemporary entertainment. It's basically Lectio Divina, but with TV shows, books, movies, and music (not much of a sports fan here. I'll gladly watch the Olympics, though).
