Explaining The Reason For James Bond's Treatment & View of Women

Mental health professionals, relationship counselors & feminists have issues with the way Bond treats women. In fact, any moral and decent person should have a problem with how Bond treats women. While the way James Bond treats women is unacceptable, we should not condemn the character or the franchise. Instead, we should approach this with understanding and compassion.

Bond treats women so horribly because he has experienced lots of trauma around killing people and watching those he cares about die. 

How can we expect him to form healthy, long-lasting relationships when he has watched many of his friends and lovers die and has killed many people himself on behalf of the British government?

Fortunately, Daniel Craig's 007 pursues healthier, long-lasting relationships and when he womanizes, it is portrayed negatively.

When people create stories with problematic elements like this, all I ask for is progression towards healthier behavior, not perfection.

And all of this is coming from the heart of a Catholic pro-life feminist.
